Aurelia Blue is not a fleet yacht and not a floating party platform. It is our home, our workplace and the place where we welcome guests to experience the Caribbean in a personal, relaxed and thoughtful way. We sail in small groups, take time for beautiful anchorages, good food and real experiences ashore, and try to create the kind of atmosphere in which people can genuinely switch off.

Who We Are
We are Sarah and Chris, long-term sailors and the Aurelia Blue crew behind every voyage, every anchorage and the personal atmosphere guests experience on board.
Our voyages are not built around schedules, loud entertainment or mass tourism. They are designed for guests who like the idea of discovering the Caribbean from the water, waking up in beautiful bays, enjoying fresh food on board and sharing the journey with hosts who know the islands, the yacht and life at sea from everyday experience rather than from a brochure.
We love the balance that sailing creates: active when the moment is right, quiet when the anchorage is perfect, social when everyone feels like sharing a sunset dinner in the cockpit, and spacious enough for every guest to enjoy the journey in their own way.
Languages on Board
We want every guest to feel comfortable on board. We speak fluent English and German, making communication easy for most of our guests. We also have a basic and steadily growing knowledge of French, thanks to spending much of the year exploring the French Caribbean
Meet Sarah – Skipper, Seamanship and the Calm Behind the Voyage
Sarah is the skipper of Aurelia Blue Crew and the person who keeps the voyage running safely, thoughtfully and with a clear eye for weather, route planning, manoeuvres and the countless practical details that life on a sailing yacht involves.
She combines hands-on seamanship with technical understanding and a calm, structured way of working on board. Guests often appreciate that things feel relaxed around her without ever feeling improvised. Routes, anchorages, harbour approaches and day-to-day decisions are guided by experience, conditions and common sense rather than by a rigid programme.
Sarah also genuinely enjoys sharing knowledge with guests who are curious about sailing. If you would like to understand more about life on board, anchoring, navigation or the way a bluewater yacht is handled, she is always happy to explain and involve you. At the same time, Aurelia Blue is not a training yacht and there is never any pressure to participate. If your ideal day is simply to read in the shade, swim in clear water and enjoy being taken from one beautiful place to the next, that is equally welcome.

Meet Chris – Galley, Hospitality and the Art of Feeling Welcome on Board
Chris is the culinary heart of the Aurelia Blue crew, taking care of the galley, much of the day-to-day comfort on board and many of the details that make guests feel immediately welcome. After around 40 years as a chef, cooking is still far more than a practical task for him. It is part of the atmosphere on board: fresh bread in the morning, homemade cake in the afternoon, well-planned dinners in the cockpit and the reassuring feeling that food on this yacht is prepared by someone who truly cares about quality and hospitality.

Life on board with the Aurelia Blue crew is intentionally personal and unhurried. We sail with only a small number of guests, which changes the entire atmosphere of a voyage. There is more space, more flexibility and more room for individual wishes than on larger setups or standard cabin charters.
A typical day might begin with coffee in the cockpit, a swim before breakfast and a short sail to the next bay. Some days are about snorkelling, paddleboarding or going ashore to explore a market, a beach bar or a walking trail. Other days are about making miles under sail, settling into the rhythm of the boat and arriving somewhere new by late afternoon. And sometimes the best plan is simply to stay where we are because the anchorage is too beautiful to leave early.

Aurelia Blue is a well-equipped bluewater sailing yacht and the centre of everything the Aurelia Blue crew does on board. She is not a charter boat used by changing crews from week to week, but the yacht we know intimately and live with ourselves. That makes a real difference on board.
We know where everything belongs, how the yacht behaves in different conditions and what is needed to keep life on board comfortable over longer periods in the Caribbean.
