The voyage is designed for guests who want to combine the comfort of life aboard Aurelia Blue with the best of Tobago itself: places like Pirates Bay, Charlotteville, sheltered bays, warm evenings on deck and a route that feels calm, scenic and unhurried from beginning to end.

🌴 Charlotteville and Tobago’s laid-back island rhythm
⛵ A relaxed route with minimal offshore sailing
A Relaxed Tobago Route with Beaches, Bays and Island Life
This Tobago sailing holiday focuses on the island itself rather than on long passages between countries. The route is designed to combine some of Tobago’s most beautiful bays, quieter corners and best swimming and snorkeling spots into one easy and rewarding week aboard Aurelia Blue.
Depending on weather, sea conditions and the rhythm of the voyage, the route may include the southwest of Tobago, sheltered anchorages further north and the spectacular coastline around Charlotteville and Pirates Bay. Rather than sailing hard every day, the idea is to enjoy Tobago properly: swimming in warm water, taking the dinghy ashore, relaxing on deck, snorkeling in clear bays and discovering the island’s slower, more authentic Caribbean side.
Charlotteville is often one of the highlights of the route, with its green surroundings, calm atmosphere and access to some of Tobago’s most beautiful anchorages. Pirates Bay, in particular, is one of those places that feels made for a boutique sailing holiday: clear water, a dramatic setting and the kind of beach you simply want to stay a little longer in.
As with all Aurelia Blue voyages, the exact sequence of stops and overnight anchorages may vary depending on weather, sea conditions and the best overall flow of the trip. The goal is always the same: to create a relaxed, beautiful and memorable Tobago sailing week rather than to follow a rigid timetable.
Pirates Bay and Charlotteville – Tobago at Its Most Beautiful
For many guests, the northeastern side of Tobago is the highlight of the entire voyage. Charlotteville feels quieter, greener and more local than the busier parts of the island, while Pirates Bay offers one of the most beautiful beach settings in Tobago.
This part of the island is perfect for swimming, dinghy trips ashore, time on the beach and simply enjoying the contrast between tropical green hills and clear Caribbean water.
Snorkeling, Swimming and the Slower Side of Tobago
Tobago is a wonderful island for guests who enjoy being in the water. Snorkeling, swimming and relaxed beach stops are naturally woven into the rhythm of the voyage, and because the route stays focused on Tobago itself, there is no pressure to rush from island to island.
Instead, the week is built around a more comfortable pace: a morning swim, coffee in the cockpit, a short sail to the next anchorage, lunch on board, an afternoon ashore or in the water, and sunset back on deck.
Why Tobago Works So Well for a Boutique Sailing Holiday
Tobago is ideal for guests who want Caribbean sailing without long offshore passages or a fast-moving island-hopping schedule. The island offers beautiful anchorages, warm water, green landscapes and a much more relaxed pace than many larger sailing circuits.
For Aurelia Blue, that makes Tobago a perfect setting for a boutique-style voyage: small groups, comfortable life on board, beautiful bays, freshly prepared meals and enough time to actually enjoy where you are instead of constantly moving on.
Good to Know
Tobago Premium is one of our most relaxed Caribbean routes and an ideal Tobago sailing holiday for guests who want a shorter escape with maximum island atmosphere and minimal offshore sailing.
Rather than trying to cover a large area, the voyage focuses on a smaller number of anchorages and experiences done well: beaches, snorkeling, quiet bays, good food on board and the feeling of truly switching off for a week.
Because the route is weather-dependent and designed around comfort rather than rigid mileage targets, the exact order of anchorages and stops may vary during the trip.
Life in Board Aurelia Blue
Life aboard Aurelia Blue during Tobago Premium is designed to feel easy from the very first evening. Guests stay in two comfortable guest cabins, each with its own private bathroom including shower and toilet, and the yacht quickly becomes a relaxed floating base for beach days, short sailing passages and quiet evenings at anchor.
The cockpit offers plenty of space for breakfast, shared dinners and sunset drinks, while the foredeck is a wonderful place to read, sunbathe or simply enjoy the coastline drifting by. With small guest numbers, plenty of room on board and the rhythm of a shorter Caribbean escape, Tobago Premium often feels less like a tour and more like a week of genuinely slowing down.
On-Board Food & Drinks
On-board food and non-alcoholic drinks are charged at €35 per person per day.
This includes breakfast and dinner prepared on board, as well as the food, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks enjoyed on board throughout the voyage.
The idea behind this arrangement is to keep life on board simple, comfortable and transparent. Provisioning is planned and organised in advance by the crew, so guests do not lose the first day of the voyage to shopping, and there is no need to track a long list of small everyday galley costs separately. In practice, it makes life on board much easier and gives guests a clearer overview of costs from the beginning.
Meals aboard Aurelia Blue are also not about standard charter catering. Depending on the route and the rhythm of the voyage, they may include homemade bread, freshly baked cake and proper coffee on board — small details that make life aboard feel more personal and much more enjoyable.
Restaurant visits ashore are not included in this amount and are paid individually.
